- To outline the requirements for temporarily filling vacant positions in Executive Branch agencies that require presidential appointment and Senate confirmation (PAS positions). The lesson is designed to provide an overview into the sometimes complicated requirements of what happens when a PAS position is vacant, who may temporarily serve, and for how long.
